What To Expect at Davis Chiropractic in Salinas CA

low back pain relief with chiropractic care

If you are wondering what to expect from your chiropractic visits in Salinas CA, we have created this article to explain the process.

Your First Visit

We will welcome you to our friendly, professional office with a smile. We only have one shot at making a great first impression on you, and we do our best to make sure that you feel comfortable and relaxed.

When you arrive at Davis Chiropractic, we will ask you to fill out a questionnaire. You can also find this paperwork on our website and bring it in completed.

After you have filled out the necessary forms, you will meet Dr. Steven Davis. He takes a comprehensive health history from you and does a thorough consultation to understand your concerns. Dr. Davis will also perform an examination.

If X-rays are necessary, we will send you to a nearby radiology office. The radiologist and Dr. Davis will then both analyze your X-rays, giving you the benefit of two experts.

Due to the extensive nature of this visit, it will take a total of about an hour.

Your Second Day at Our Clinic

Your next visit consists of a report of Dr. Davis’s findings. Your education about health and chiropractic continues from where it left off on the first visit, to make sure you understand chiropractic’s new model for health care.

Dr. Davis will sit down with you to explain:

  • Your particular health challenge
  • How we can help you
  • How long it will take

The time necessary for this visit depends on how long we discuss your care plan for. We recommend you reserve a maximum of 40 minutes to talk with Dr. Davis.

Routine Visits

We understand that you live a busy life and will try to make sure you’re in and out of the office in 10-15 minutes.

There are minimal wait times involved at our office. Once you arrive, you will take a seat and Dr. Davis will see you promptly.

Every 12th visit a re-examination will be done to make sure that you are making the progress needed to stay on track. If necessary, we may change techniques, order tests or retake X-rays.

The Decision to Continue Care in Salinas CA

We often get the question, “Once you start seeing a chiropractor, do you have to go for life?” The simple answer is that if you are not healthy, then you are sick. We want to get sick people healthy and feeling better, and then make a plan with them to continue their future health.

We need to work together to get the quality of life you want, now and in the future. If you continue seeing us after your pain is gone, your quality of life will continue to improve. Health is a conscious decision that requires lifestyle changes. We will help you maintain that health well into the future.
